Story

Nameless Protagonist - game starts with a bad dream (Larkeicus) and then moves onto the hero's 16th Birthday ritual which requires him to kill some monsters. After which he's awarded a personal crystal from Sherlotta. Suddenly a village girl becomes sick with "Crystal Sickness" and he must find a cure for the disease.
This leads him to the library where Larkeicus agrees to find him a cure if he activates some statues on the top of some mountains. Which of course is an evil scheme by an evil man, which breaks the last remaining crystal and makes the Hero's village disappeared.
So now our hero finds out that through some big magic thing that the Villagers are all raising the hero because they were made immortal when they touched the crystal core or something.
So now we gotta pick up all the pieces to get the crystal back so that the village will return, and then we gotta defeated the bad guy, realizing that in order to truly defeat him, we gotta destroy the crystal, taking out the immortals with it, leaving only the memory of the immortal cat behind.
